Deer related traffic collisions peak from October through December.  Highest risk peaks are from sunset to midnight followed by the hours shortly before and after sunrise.  Don't swerve to avoid hitting a deer because you could lose control of your vehicle and roll into a ditch or swerve into oncoming traffic.
